About Data Storage

Apartment Bill Manager stores all your data locally on your Android device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers for user account purposes.

Data Types Stored Locally

  • Apartment configuration (floors, flats, resident names)
  • Bill calculation history and records
  • Payment status tracking
  • UPI payment details (if configured)
  • App preferences and settings
  • Export/import configuration files

How to Delete Your Data

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ Complete Data Deletion

  1. Uninstall the app from your Android device
  2. All local data will be permanently removed
  3. No residual data remains on your device

๐Ÿงน Selective Data Deletion

  • Clear Bill History: Open Bill History โ†’ Tap "Clear All" button
  • Reset Configuration: Go to Configure Apartment โ†’ Start fresh setup
  • Clear UPI Details: In Bill Calculation โ†’ Configure UPI โ†’ Clear
  • Reset App: Android Settings โ†’ Apps โ†’ Apartment Bill Manager โ†’ Storage โ†’ Clear Data

๐Ÿ’พ Export Before Deletion

If you want to backup your data before deletion:

  1. Open Configure Apartment
  2. Tap "Export" to save your configuration
  3. Save the file to your preferred location
  4. Proceed with data deletion

Data Retention Policy

  • Local Data: Deleted immediately when you use in-app deletion options
  • Analytics Data: Anonymous usage data (Firebase Analytics) is automatically deleted after 90 days
  • No Server Data: We don't store any personal data on our servers
  • Device Storage: All app data is removed when the app is uninstalled
